Trauma-informed teaching¹ recognizes the ubiquity of trauma – strong emotional responses to distressing events – and seeks to create safe, supportive, and empowering learning environments that promote learner success and resilience.

While the term may be unfamiliar, many teachers already practice trauma-informed teaching. This resource aims to help teachers further strengthen their ongoing teaching and inspire new possibilities.
