This module looks at how direct observation and feedback can serve as a guide to help Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) learners improve clinical skills.
Clinical skills are a cornerstone of safe and effective health care practice. As such, direct observation allows experience of a learner’s actual activities and competencies in patient care. This enables immediate feedback focused on learners’ goals, supplemented by the clinical educator with goals of which the learner may be unaware.
