VFMP Faculty Development have partnered with the Divisions of Family Practice to design this program for family physicians to recognize and support their contribution to the UBC medical school. This is a novel program that has been developed by family physicians, for family physicians. It is structured around how teaching is typically sequenced in a community-based office. The program covers 5 topics:

  • Preparing for Teaching
  • Learning Relationships
  • Teaching Skills – in Office
  • Teaching Skills – Virtual
  • Feedback,
  • Assessment, Observation

This program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the BC Chapter for up to 36 Mainpro+ certified credits. Participants are required to complete all components of the Mainpro+ certified activity to be eligible to receive the approved credits.
