Gender Bias Affecting Women in the Learning Environment is informed by the Faculty of Medicine commitment for an inclusive learning environment and provides guidance for faculty, learners and staff on how to address actions that are not aligned with those expectations. It explores how unconscious biases can influence everyday interactions, particularly in ways that impact women.

This module helps you:

  • identify common gender-based microaggressions in the clinical learning environment
  • understand their effects on both those who experience and witness them
  • reflect on your own assumptions
