A Learning Management System (LMS) is an application that provides a secure platform for managing all aspects of the learning process for learners, faculty, and staff. Access is controlled by the Campus Wide Login (CWL) system. The LMS is integrated with the learner registration, assessment, and lecture recording systems.

Elentra

Elentra (formerly Entrada) is a bespoke LMS designed and built by a consortium of medical schools specifically for medical education. It is employed particularly for the Curriculum Mapping tools it provides. At the Faculty of Medicine, Elentra is used by Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) and Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME).

Canvas

Canvas is an extremely powerful and flexible LMS that can be adapted to a wide variety of applications. Canvas is the main LMS for UBC, at the Faculty of Medicine, Canvas is employed by the health professions such as Occupational Sciences and Occupational Therapy (OSOT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech and Language Pathology, Biomedical Research, Global Surgical Care, Genetic Counseling, Medical Laboratory Science and Population and Public Health.>
